If I had to recommend one thing to do in Savannah, it’s The Bonaventure Cemetery journey with Shannon Scott. He masterfully weaves together haunting stories of Savannah’s elite families - as you the onlooker, travel through arguably one of the most beautiful cemetery’s in the South (just look to John Muir or Oscar Wilde’s writings on Bonaventure). Scott has a wealth of knowledge on the history of Savannah, but more importantly he brings forth a passion for the subject - captivating his audience. His personal connections with many well known characters in Savannah make for interesting anecdotes. I’ve been on many tours in my travels - and this truly is one of the best.

If you are looking for an entertaining, yet Factual tour in Savannah Ga. Look no further! Bonaventure Cemetery Tours with Shannon Scott is hands down THE BEST tour Savannah has to offer! Over the years I have taken MANY different tours in Savannah. Usually they all have the same stories that seem to be recited from script....which albeit Fine and dandy if you like that sort of thing? If you are looking for a evening that you will remember for many years, then take this one! Shannon Scott is amazing! He is a true narrator! An entertaining and magnificent story teller! He will paint a vivid picture in your mind with his words. He has a very calming personality, gifted with charm, with an edge of mystery, but also seems very kind, sincere! Its more like spending an evening taking a walk and chatting with an old friend, and the fact you are with your friend in a cemetery...makes it a much more fun and memorable experience! No gimmicks, no scare tactics, no tall tales, no drunken crawl, this tour is factual and what's better or more macabre than true life terrifying stories?

Both my husband and I both loved the tour of Bonaventure with Shannon Scott. The cemetery itself is gorgeous and is a must-see when visiting Savannah. This was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. The tour is filled with history of the cemetery, city of Savannah and the stories of the people buried within. As I designer, I loved all of the explanations of the layout, design and thoughtfulness put into this Victorian cemetery. My husband loved all of the tales of history and relation to the Freemasons. If we would have had more time, we would have considered doing the evening tour also. So much information provided in an entertaining and engaging manner in a one-of-a-kind beautiful setting.
