When we got there in the blistering July heat and heard it was a 2 hour tour we were concerned about making it to the end. But let me tell you, it was not only fascinating enough to keep us engaged through the heat, we touched it out as several downpours made it muggy and we’re left wanting more! Jessica’s tour was filled with fascinating information and she came armed with fans, water & bug spray to help everyone out. The cemetery is stunning and the tour is filled with wonderful information. I can’t wait to do it again. This tour is a MUST in Savannah!

We took this tour for the 4th time this past week. It was just as great as the first time. Every time we learn something new. Shannon is a great story teller and historian. I love that he does so much research and interviews families of those laid to rest here. I cannot say enough about this tour! I’m sure we’ll be taking it again when we come back!

This tour was the highlight of our time in Savannah. As other reviewers have noted, Shannon Scott is the best, and he went above and beyond his tour duties to accommodate us. Besides providing clear and patient directions for our Lyft driver to find the tour, he brought water for the group to make sure we were ready to walk in the heat. The tour itself was fantastic, as Shannon regaled us with fun tales about the town's storied past and his personal connections with many of Savannah's colorful personalities. We particularly enjoyed all the stories at Johnny Mercer's and Conrad Aiken's gravesites. As the tour wrapped up, we asked Shannon about where to have our driver pick us up, and he offered to drive us back into town. When we told him we had planned to head out to see the Wormsloe site, he agreed to take us out there, giving us our own private tour as we drove. Shannon is a dynamic personality with a wealth of knowledge about Savannah and its past. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and can't recommend him highly enough.
