Tour guide really knew his stuff. He was a wealth of information about Savannah, funny and ably answered any questions we had. There is something to be said being in the open coach rather than in a bus--more of the "reach out and touch" feeling. Everyone should do this first and then go back and visit the sites more indepth after the tour. If you haven't been to Savannah, the tour is a must. Easy to park, although expensive, at the Visitor's Center. Eat at Hymans, a Savannah institution, the food is so good, service fantastic, and the owner visits at every table, such a class act! Enjoyed the cruise, only go if you like learning the history of the area because you will get a really indepth talk on what you are seeing as you cruise down the river. There were many rude people who loudly partied instead of listening to the narrator and we couldn't hear some of his talk. This is NOT a Carnival cruise people. We felt like we got our money's worth.
