As far as food tours go I would say this was "ok." We have done food tours in the past, come hungry and left stuffed so we skipped lunch but I wish we hadn't. The way it was organized our first stop was to a location where there were four different items (3 of each) and 12 of us. So it was basically a free for all of what item you got to sample, which we felt was an awkward start. Also, we went to a Tea and Spice store and got minuscule portion sizes of some crackers and popcorn. When people go to a town to learn more about the unique food of the region, I would not recommend taking them to any stop that has "over 60 locations in That is not what we paid quite a bit of money for. That being said, our guide was very informative and knowledgeable of the history of the area so we enjoyed parts of it. Would I do this tour again though; no. Would I recommend this particular tour to someone travelling to Charleston; no. I would probably say try a different one!

We had a wonderful time on the Savor the Flavors tour. Franny R was alot of fun and very informative/helpful with southern history. The food was delicious and extremely filling. We started with grits/beignets at Another Broken Egg (visited twice after this), then grits cake w/ shrimp/hush puppies from Hymans Seafood, pimento cheese on cracker plus samplings of seasonings from a tea shop, a praline and candied pecans from a sweet shop and lastly pulled pork BBQ slider/corn bread/collard greens from Poogans' Smokehouse (visited once after this). Sodas/tea/water was available at each place as well as the opportunity to buy a drink.

The guide Blake was amazing, presenting his knowledge in an easy casual fun manor. The food stops were a variety of interesting local foods.
