Immerse yourself in living history by visiting Saxman Native Village for a look at the rich native culture of Southeast Alaska combined with the action-packed head-to-head lumberjack competition. At the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, you will celebrate a bygone era as you see the logging history come to life with thrilling displays of strength and agility.

At Saxman Native Village, your Tour Host will welcome you and take you to the Beaver Clan House for a traditional performance by the Cape Fox Dancers. After the show, you will visit the Carving Center to watch totem pole carving and paint making. Finally, explore the totem pole park to learn about the figures carved on each pole and their cultural significance.

This tour also includes a scenic drive throughout Downtown Ketchikan. Your Driver will point out significant landmarks and share the rich history of this fishing town. Routes may vary depending on which meeting point you are picked up from.

The show and totem park were very good. However, the company who does the tour in Ketchikan did not show up. None of the ohone numbers worked. Finally found a rep in the visitor center and was told we had to walk to lumberjack show! This was not what booking said! We were supposed to be picked up! I was not happy with how this trip was run!

Due to commercial vehicle restrictions in Ketchikan's downtown area, all tour operators, including ours, are required to pick up and drop off guests at designated points such as the visitor center. This location is as close to the Lumberjack Show as possible, and the walk is shorter than the length of a cruise ship. We strive to make our tours as seamless as possible, and your feedback helps us improve. Learning the history of the Alaskan tribes, dances, totems was awesome. Bus drivers dropped us off at Creektown where we shopped, watched seals and learned Alaskan history. The lumberjack show was fun but also informative! Great tour prices!
