Our flight started at the local airport, the Steven A. Bean Municipal. We were greeted by our pilot Kyle, he went over important safety issues, discussed the flight pattern, and then we were ready to board and take-off. Our flight took us over Rangeley, to Bald Mountain, down Mooselookmeguntic, and finally over Richardson Lake. We circled the Lakewood Camp in Middle Dam, our destination, and had a nice soft landing on the lake. As we approached the camp, we were greeted by the staff, offered a quick tour of the camp, and then seated and served a great meal before taking off to head home. Our pilot was professional and friendly and provided interesting local facts as we flew back and forth. Our parents visited the Lakewood Camps as young children and hadn't been back since. Needless to say, a great thrill for them both to visit. Our take-off and landing were much smoother than a big commercial airline and we highly recommend others to treat themselves to this wonderful experience. Thank you to Keith, Kyle, and the great staff at Lakewood Camps for this incredible adventure.
