Poipu Beach Surf School is committed to providing each of its guests with a safe, fun, friendly surfing experience.
We take pride in providing top quality service, our instructors take pride and joy in introducing you to the ancient art of Hawaiian wave riding. A great activity for people of all ages.
Poipu Beach Surf School teaches people how to surf at the Sheraton Beach in Poipu. It is very safe, with only four people per instructor. Instructors also stay with the surfers for the full lesson, never leaving them alone in the ocean.

Instructors start out with a 10-15 minute land lesson at Poipu Surf (2829 Ala Kalanikaumaka St h151 Poipu, Hi. 96756), educating surfers about the surfboard, how to paddle the board, how to stand up, closing with ocean safety tips. The rest of the lesson is spent in the water catching waves.

These lessons are amazing! Would highly recommend. It felt like the instructors were really rooting for you and they made it easy to get up on a surfboard. Thanks Chris and Keola, we had a great time!

We loved Poipu Beach Surf School. As two gals in our 20’s we were ready to get out and try to surf ASAP no holds barred! We loved the fact that Adam gave us as many chances as he could to catch as many waves as possible. He was awesome. We were both up standing on our first try. An amazing, friendly, casual experience that was exactly what we were looking for. Adam absolutely kills it! Would recommend to everyone. PS: the WALK from the actual surf shop to the beach only takes about 10min so I do not understand some of these complaints haha! 10 stars, we would absolutely recommend to friends and come back! Thanks Adam!

Adam @ Poipu Beach Surf school was absolutely awesome! We did a semi-private lesson with him for our two 10 year old boys and he was great. Fantastic instruction and an overall outstanding experience! Thanks to Adam and Poipu Surf School!
