We booked this tour because we wanted to snorkel. Seeing a few dolphins would have been icing on the cake, but we were okay with not seeing any. Captain Tim was very nice, and even though we didn't snorkel, he made the trip enjoyable. It was very nice that he took us out, because we were the only ones on the boat. But I feel I need to point out to travelers that if you want to snorkel, you might not want to here. When we got to Shell Key (it was primitive - no bathrooms, chairs, anything like that), the water looked murky. Captain Tim said we might not see any fish. We could tell from looking at the situation that it would be a waste of time to snorkel. He said this was due to the windy conditions. So at other times it might be a good place to snorkel, but not that day. We did collect some sea shells, but honestly, we could have done that at St. Pete's beach for free. So overall, if you like boat rides, by all means take the tour, but keep in mind it might not be a good day to snorkel and there's no guarantee you'll see any dolphins.

Debbye, we're sorry you were disappointed in the experience. Snorkeling is indeed a weather dependent activity, like diving, fishing, parasailing, etc. Its disappointing that you would penalize our company because the weather conditions were not ideal. We have no control over weather.
As for your dolphins comment: We do always make sure everyone sees dolphins and Captain Tim was indeed prepared to extend your trip to find them. But you refused, and said you preferred to go back to the dock. It would have been fair for you to mention in your review that we offered to extend your trip at no charge. I guess it slipped your mind.
