Very disappointed with this trip as we didn't get to see everything that was promised in the description of the tour. We didn't see the Los Angeles Coliseum, or the world's shortest railway. Also, our driver Alberto decided not to take us to the Hollywood Observatory as a fellow tourist told him that it was closed the previous day. So instead of checking for himself he decided not to bother and said we would be able to take photos from a mall in Hollywood Boulevard. This was true but we feel our photos would have been a lot clearer if we'd been able to get closer. He also failed to explain that at the Chinese Theatre we would find the stars hand and footprints, so we missed this opportunity to take photos as well! The trip description also said we would get to peruse the shops on Rodeo Drive but we only got to view them from the minibus window! Our driver also had a problem with his microphone and we were unable to hear him for most of the afternoon, we realised he was talking but assumed he was just chatting to the young lady who sat at the front with him. It would have been advisable if he had checked with all his passengers that we could hear him. We have booked several trips with Viator on previous holidays and have never been disappointed before.
The tour guide was friendly, funny and mostly informative. I guess everyone has their own style of conducting a tour but we wished a bit more information of what areas we were passing through. At one time, one of the passengers asked where we were at a stop light and the guide wasn't sure. Near the end of the tour, he asked everyone what was their favorite part of the tour and no one answered but me saying I really like the lunch at Mel's. Other than my small issue, it was great.
