We could not have picked a better way to celebrate our 30th anniversary... The first thing the purser said when we presented our tickets was, “Happy Anniversary!” And it only got better from there... We chose the upgrade to guaranteed window seating and when we were shown to our table, a rose petal heart had been constructed on the table by our server who was with us the whole night and greeted us with Happy Anniversary. We also pre-ordered the 4-drink package (much cheaper than the cash bar) and were served our wine right away. Dinner is buffet style and I assume the menu changes week to week. I sampled a little of everything and my wife had the beef. The food was good, not great, but good and the buffet line was fast. Lots of salad choices, veggies and fresh fruit. Desserts were a little disappointing, but no worse than most buffets.
It was an absolutely beautiful night, crystal clear and breezy in the low 70’s, so after dinner we went to the open top deck and sat as we cruised out of the harbor and into the bay and enjoyed the night air and a drink listening to live musician who sang both cover and original songs. The lights of the harbor and the city were the backdrop....
While on deck, our server found us and brought us a layered chocolate mousse parfait which more than made up for the dessert selections on the buffet. I had a glass of Bailey’s and Lisa had Prosecco. By then we were headed back - all in all it was a three hour tour. A memorable trip... Well worth it!
