Wycieczka piesza Skyway - Minneapolis

Przegląd
A great tour year-round, especially if you're visiting in the winter months! Minneapolis is home to the largest, contiguous skyway system in the world! Originally designed to counter the 1950s post war suburban boom by revitalizing the city's retail core, today the second story walkways connect 80 city blocks and meander more than 9 miles. This is a great way to see the city - inside and out - during cool weather, hot weather, rainy days and the brutally long Minnesota winter, so pretty much year-round! There are so many treasures within downtown's unique architectural landscape, and the skyway system is sometimes the only way to see them. The skyway is such a huge part of our city's identity, the Replacements even wrote a song about it, aptly named Skyway.

Choosing Mpls City & Skyway Tours, you are supporting a local, woman-owned small business with a big heart.

(Please note, this is a walking tour. We will walk up to two miles, with breaks. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water.)

Wieża Foshay
Wejdziemy na chodnik na drugim piętrze z wnętrza wieży Foshay, aby rozpocząć wycieczkę. Przejdziemy przez oryginalne domy towarowe, nowe domy towarowe, stare banki przekształcone w nowoczesne restauracje, najszerszy skyway, najkrótszy skyway, podwójny skyway, budynki prezentujące imponujące kolekcje sztuki publicznej, obiekty sportowe - dom Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Timberwolves i Minnesota Lynx, a także niektóre z najbardziej historycznych budynków, które wciąż stoją, z wystawionymi pamiątkami, oczywiście na niebie. Wrócimy do Foshay Tower, gdzie będzie można skorzystać z możliwości obejrzenia miasta z 31. piętra jedynego w mieście odkrytego tarasu widokowego!

This was such a GREAT tour of downtown Minneapolis on one of the coldest days of this winter. History, architecture, art and so much more. Jessica was such a delight and full of information. My husband and I have recently moved to Mpls from Los Angeles so thoroughly enjoyed learning about our new city in the comforts of the skyway system. We cannot wait to explore more on our own and visit some of the many restaurants. Whether you're a visitor, a new transplant or a native, I encourage you to take this tour--one of the finest!

Thank you, Monica and Bill! I love that you have had such a positive experience since moving to Minneapolis, even in the winter! It was my pleasure showing you just some of the skyways. I know you will explore them all. :)

So glad you two had fun up in the skyways! I'm happy to now know about the toroidal shape of magnetic fields! Safe travels to ND and beyond. :)
