Average excursion. Everyone told me before going to Alaska that dog sledding was a must, but just an okay experience in my opinion. We were pulled by a crew of 16 dogs, that the handlers claim love the work. Hopefully that is true, but the dogs were very dirty and didn’t seem all that happy. Our biggest takeaway was worry for all the sweet dogs. We talked about that the rest of our trip. Puppies were cute, and people were nice but very expensive for the overall experience.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback! We’re sorry to hear that your experience at our Musher's Camp didn’t meet your expectations. Please be assured that our dogs are very well cared for—the mushers have strong bonds with them and prioritize their well-being. Alaskan Huskies are bred for running, and any health concerns are addressed immediately. While the outdoor environment in the rainforest can sometimes make the dogs (and mushers) appear dirty, it does not affect their health. If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to reach out to us directly. Thank you.
