Our trip started with driving past lava fields and Sunset crater all the way to Wupatki National Monument. Ruins of acient dwellings were impressive and really came to life with Ed's storytelling. Our next stop was at the Cameron Trading Post, where we had lunch. Our family is a nightmare to cater for (one of us is gluten intolerant and another is vegan), so we didn't expect much in terms of lunch. Happy to admit we were wrong. All our dietary requirements were catered for, food was plentiful and of good quality. Restaurant itself had cool decor with many interesting features. Wish we had a bit longer to shop at the Trading Post itself as it was stock full of curiosities and good quality souvenirs, but the main attraction of the trip was waiting to be discovered! Next several hours of our trip were spent exploring Grand Canyon from various vantage points. Ed was sharing a lot of interesting and curious information about Grand Canyon that helped us to better appreciate the place and everything it has to offer. All and all it was a brilliant trip that exceeded our expectations and we recommend it to anyone willing to explore North Arizona heritage and natural wonders of Grand Canyon.
