This company didn't have the most reviews on yelp or Trip Advisor but all of the big kayak tours companies were booked up for 4th of July weekend so we called and made a reservation with Josh who was very friendly. I could not be more pleased that we ended up with Wild Louisiana Tours. Our tour guide, Max picked us up on time and happily picked us up at the coffee shop where we were eating breakfast and we headed for the swamp. I think you would be hard pressed to find a more friendly and knowledgable tour guide than Max. He blew us away with his knowledge of both the history and nature of the area. The Manchac swamp was gorgeous and our tour was intimate with only 4 of us. We saw an unbelievable amount of wildlife and the scenery was exactly what I imagined wild Louisiana to be. If you are into nature or the outdoors at all, I can't recommend this tour enough. Worth every penny and a huge highlight for me of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour - and Max specifically - to anyone visiting the area.

Hi. Believe it or not, I, my wife and our son 17 and daughter 16's highlight of the visit to New Orleans was not the amazing French Quarter, entertainment, food and that experience where we stayed there at the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel. It was our kayak tour with Max, father of Josh. We arrived at the meeting place on time and were in the water quickly. Max was an amazing fount of interesting information as he shepherded us a few miles in. He pointed out so much and was so capable and pleasant. He took us to an eagle's nest and we watched a parent deliver a fish to the nest and the fledglings eat it. Great photos. We passed mere feet from a huge owl sitting almost invisible atop a dead tree trunk feet from where we passed. Max also recommended a couple restaurants that were also quite amazing. My family and I travel 4 times a year for the past decade and our summer epic journeys have taken us worldwide. I can advise anyone who wants to make their New Orleans visit extra special, take a morning and go out on this bayou tour. The weather was perfect, not a mosquito in sight and absolutely safe, surreal and exciting. The Kahn Family, Homestead, Florida. :)

This was a great kayaking trip-I absolutely loved it! It was so beautiful and the river was calm so it was a nice and easy ride. The other couple on the tour with me was also very pleased with the tour! It was a bit longer than listed but I thought it was perfectly timed. I would recommend this to any nature lover or anyone that would want to get off the beaten path in Louisiana. Also pickup and drop off at your place was a good deal! My only complaint was the communication leading up to the tour...My pickup was set for 8:30 Wednesday morning. I was called by the tour company owner the night before the tour and he said the weather looked bad so we would maybe not go out but "we will see". He said he would call me at 8AM to tell me what the plan was - I didn't get a call and so I decided to call him at 8:15 to ask- no answer. I then received a call at 8:20 saying that the driver would be at my house in a few minutes- ahhh what?! He was a really Nice guy and apologized- he is not the person that called me and had no idea so I don't blame him he was a great tour guide!
