Omg, this was such an awesome excursion! We started the tour at Castello di Amorosa...this is a beautiful castle! What a great place to start. The wine was good; the scenery was amazing!!! Took a short photo stop @ the Napa Valley sign, then moved on to Tamber Bey. They had the most beautiful horses there. Nice wine tasting, then on to Kieu Hoang. This was a nice and relaxed, intimate setting. We were even allowed to go down into the vineyards. I cant lie, I tasted 2 grapes. 😀There was a surprise stop (which I will not reveal) that was a cool relief on a hot day. On the way back to SF, we were to stop for a photo op at the Golden Gate Bridge, but it was too foggy for photos.
Overall, excellent, excellent experience. Even if you don't like wine, you will learn tons about how it is produced.
Our tour guide, Randall, was incredibly knowledgable on the subject matter. He was friendly and engaging and not a single question went unanswered.
I highly recommend this tour if you're a wine drinker, in the area, and have some free time (it is an all day affair). It is well worth the time and money spent. Ask for Randall!!
