We did a tour yesterday. It started slowly as we had a problem with our van. Gayle handled everything, make sure it went smoothly, and made up for the time at the end of our day. Knowledgeable, smart and funny, she taught us a lot and made the day go by very quickly. Thanks again!

Our tour was an excellent and unique one. Temptation tours was the company, and our tour guide Gary was informative, friendly, funny, and made our 1st tour of the Road to Hana a very pleasant one with memories that will last a lifetime! He made sure we didn't miss anything, and even had us hold back on a few pics because he said we would get better ones so we trusted that he knew best, and boy did he ever!!! We got fantastic photos!!! Thank you Gary for delivering the best tour we have had so far.

The Road to Hana is great and delegating the driving to a professional who knows the roads is a good move. Logistical tasks like booking the trip, email communication back and forth was professional and left a good impression. The vehicle is very comfortable with plenty of room and a smooth ride. Food options were great. We had a substantial breakfast in Paia at a local cafe and lunch at a hotel that was very pretty. In terms of stops, there were plenty of opportunities. I'd have liked to have swam in a waterfall. We did manage a dip at the black sand beach. Our enjoyment of the tour was very much impacted by the tour guide. Unfortunately my husband and I didn't really connect all that well with our tour guide. I think it's a personal chemistry thing so others may love their style. We found them excitable and overly passionate. Others may find this appealing and authentic. Our preference is to be with a tour guide with a calmer manner whereas I felt a bit on edge with our tour guide as they were quite emotional and volatile about things. They were also quite repetitive. I think they might forget that the microphone is on all the time so we can hear when they talk to themselves and the verbal activity was incessant. They put on a song for us to listen to but then sang along with it and with the microphone on, it makes it hard to hear the actual song! It's a long day. The sights are worth it though. We were exhausted by the end of it and I suspect it was partly due to the activity but also because the tour guide was so draining.
