Our small group experience takes place in a big boat atmosphere! A maximum of 20 guests onboard allows our captain and crew the chance to focus on providing each guest with the very best experience. Our boat is really what sets us apart from other companies- we have a fast, fun and extremely comfortable boat where everyone has a cushioned seat, large open platform for viewing the whales and fast, quiet engines to help us maximize our time with the whales during your tour. Knowledgeable captains and crew who have worked among the whales for years will share whale facts and answer your questions. It's a great photo opportunity and most people who do it come back for more!

Wonderful day, wonderful crew, and amazing whales! A bonus was a pod of spinner dolphins swimming and leaping around the boat.

Went out with Noah and the crew on 3/13. Everyone was friendly and we did see whales...from afar. The pictures online of how close you get are deceiving. Other boats in the same area were much closer. I've been on several whale watching tours and been close enough that you can actually smell the whale. I understand each encounter is different and the animals are wild and their safety is a priority.I am disappointed looking back as this might be the only chance to see them in Hawaii and I'm not convinced the effort was made to make it unforgettable. I had a professional camera and the whales were so far away that the pictures came out subpar.

Noah and Sylwia did an outstanding job making this a whale watch trip that will be hard to beat. While whales were competing with each other all around and under the boat they shared many facts about the whales behavior, how they are identified, etc. They continued this later when we came across a mama, baby and an escort. We were then fortunate to witness a breech—truly amazing. They made sure everyone was comfortable and had a view. We will definitely book with Makai Adventures in the future!
