Wonderful enjoyable morning learning about the desert and plants. Jon is super nice and very knowledgeable. This is truly a unique experience. Very fun for all ages, highly recommended!

My husband and I had a fun adventure on Saturday morning conducted by Jon Helleson, commencing from the Sabino Canyon Visitors Center. Jon, who is a dedicated teacher, botanist, and author, shared his passion of plants and survival skills with our small group. During this Covid time, I felt totally safe with everyone wearing masks and keeping their distance. We learned about the various edible plants, their various life-saving uses, and some basic skills to utilize while in the desert. He was very patient in teaching us how to make rope, gather water, and how to make fire with the upmost regard to safety. I would sincerely recommend this adventure to all - solos, couples, family groups.

Well worth your time. Jon is a great instructor, and host. He is very knowledgeable on the plants & techie, that can help you stay a live in the desert. We would recommend to anyone.
