We took the Sopranos bus tour and had booked in advance for wheelchair accessibility. Unfortunately, they had forgotten to arrange for the wheelchair accessible bus however, they more than made up for that mistake.
First, some thoughtful fellow tour takers, who had probably arrived super early to get the front seats, moved to the back to allow my 19 year old son to sit in the front seat, which made it easier for us to carry him on and off the bus. Plus the tour guide and bus driver worked very hard to ensure that we were parked at the door of the stops that required getting off of the bus to minimize the distance we needed to carry our son. They also called ahead to arrange for a chair to be right at the door of the various stops as well.
They went to all this trouble and effort and treated us like we were the most important customers they'd ever had and still gave us a full refund! (Which was actually processed virtually before we'd even finished the tour).
The tour itself was fun and interesting. It was basically a tour of some of the less beautiful places of New Jersey plus a lot of places highlighted in the Sopranos. The best parts were Holsteins where Tony's murder (maybe?!!) took place in the final episode, complete with onion rings, and the Bada Bing Club that really is a seedy, fully operating female dance club, which looked exactly like it did in the show.
The tour guide and the bus driver did an excellent job and I was amazed at how much Sopranos knowledge there was, not just with the tour guide, but also with our fellow tour participants.
Even with my initial emails when booking the trip, which were returned promptly and with clear information, On Site Tours handled our situation with integrity and graciousness. They can be proud of the way they conduct business!
