A qualified instructor will meet you at beach access #16, located at 4400 Gulf Blvd., South Padre Island, Texas. There you will learn a series of techniques for building and carving a better sandcastle. This is hands-on instruction, and in 1 hour you will have a completed (or mostly completed) sand castle, perfect for a family photo op.

We did the two hour lesson with Jose and both kids and adults totally loved it!! He was so funny and patient and before he left we made a pretty awesome Sand Castle with multiple towers and walls. And even after he left we learned so much we were able to continue and build on our own. Highly recommend this, you will learn the skills to build a sandcastle that will last all day!! People were stopping to take pictures of our castles, it was so cool. Sandy herself even stopped by to say hi :)

My husband and I had a great 2-hr sandcastle building lesson with Jose today. So much fun! Jose met us on the beach with all the necessary equipment and proceeded to teach us from the foundation up how to build an amazing sandcastle. We learned how to build a solid structure and then how to add impressive details. The possibilities are endless! Jose was knowledgeable, patient, kind, and a great instructor. This activity was definitely a highlight of our trip to SPI!
