Przegląd
The Jungle Prada Site History Tour is a historian-led walking tour of a private seaside garden and featuring the best-preserved American Indian mound in Tampa Bay. The Jungle Prada Site Complex is also thought to be the landing place of the 1528 expedition led by Pánfilo de Narváez, the survivors of which walked from Florida all the way to the Pacific Ocean (1528 – 1536). The privately-owned Anderson Mound has been lovingly preserved by members of the Anderson family for over 80 years.

You’ll meet wild peacocks, discover native plants used by the Tocobaga people, and explore a side of St. Petersburg, Florida you never knew existed!

We loved this tour!! We live in St. Pete, and it was still magical for us. I highly recommend it for all ages. There's a cool restaurant and bar right there - beautiful old Florida. You will not be disappointed! I usually hate tours - but this was great and super informative

Great tour of the garden & grounds, with history behind it. Our tour guide, David, is third generation to live here, locally. A lot of the information given during the tour isn't just book info, but family history and personal stories. David loves interactive tours, and was very receptive to questions. The property is still an active home, built by David's grandparents. The grounds are considered sacred, and home to early native American Indian mounds. This is not your glitzy plastic Florida, but old time Florida. Enjoyed the slow paced walking tour!

Discover Florida popped up on my FB page and I've always wanted to see what "Sacred Lands" was all about soI gave them a call and I'm glad I did.Our tour guide David turned out to be very informative and highly passionate about this property and it's history. Sacred Lands was a compound inhabited by the Tocoboga Indians who lived here on beautiful Boca Ciega Bay.Wandering the grounds one starts to wonder about the life they led back then,there is a Midden Mound where they would discard out tools,shells,pottery ect..The grounds are just beautiful with all the gorgeous tress and plants as well as the colorful peacocks that roam freely around the property,we even spotted some Dolphins! David is very informed when it comes to trees and plants as well as local history.I would recommend this tour to anyone,what a lovely place to visit,top shelf.
