I have nothing negative to say about this experience.
1) It is reasonably priced. I attempted a similar hot air balloon tour over Napa that ran for $50+ more and it was extremely crowded.
2) Booking was a breeze. They called the day before to confirm when they didn't hear from us. We were running late the morning of our flight, and they were accommodating.
3) Everyone we dealt with was friendly, knowledgable, and made us feel at home. We were offered recommendations for local restaurants and wineries and even for activities outside of Temecula.
4) The group size was small. I can't guarantee this is always the case, but my sister and I flew with a family of four and a couple. It was quiet and everyone had an opportunity to get the lay of the land from our pilot while in the air.
5) The experience itself. So peaceful, with a great view of the other balloons. Plenty of opportunities for pictures, and the crew even offered to take your photo while on the ground (no selfies required). We got to see a coyote and several rabbits/hares, and the smell of the orange groves is divine.
6) A smooth landing. Our trail car with the crew was a bit behind in making it to the landing site, but it could not have gone more smoothly. You have to wait a few minutes for them to pack some things up, but it goes by quickly.
7) Breakfast and mimosas after the flight were great. You can stick around as long as you want, and if the winery where you meet happens to be open (Vindemia), you can squeeze in a wine tasting. If not, there are plenty of great wineries nearby. Old Town Temecula also has great antique stores if you want to make a day of it.
As long as you are physically able to get in and out of the basket, this is a perfect and peaceful way to spend the morning. I highly recommend it!
