At sunset, Oahu’s North Shore becomes magical, with colorful skies and billowing clouds that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a painting. This special time turns into an unforgettable experience when you witness it from horseback, traveling through quiet forests and beautiful mountain trails. That’s not to mention that at sunset everything cools down and all the birds start to sing. Trust us, it’s the best time of day to ride.

On the trail, you might see grazing cattle, native fruit trees, and even wild pigs. You’ll also have sneak peeks of the ocean below, leading up to the best part—a thrilling panoramic view from our scenic lookout. You’ll remember it for years to come.

Gunstock was great. Hailey and Michael were extremely competent and professional. Hailey bubbled with enthusiasm and was very engaging through out the entire experience. Having done these rides before in Hawaii, the sunset ride was the perfect time of day. We highly recommend Gunstock.

I have been to gunstock many times and done a lot of the different rides. I have to say that the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about horses. They do everything in their control to keep riders safe and happy. Our guide was eager to talk to us and open to questions. The views at the top are amazing. I have even seen wild pigs on a few of the rides that I've been on. Every horse that I have been on there, has been amazing. If you on the island make sure you come here.

Such an incredible experience! From booking to my ride the staff were nothing but welcoming and helpful. I will definitely be back with more friends and family. The mountains, ocean, and meadows are breathtaking! The horses have a special way of taking you out of your normal daily rush and making you feel so relaxed and humble. After our ride was over we were not rushed off, but instead invited to stay, see the petting zoo, and spend time with the horses while the staff was taking off their saddles to get them ready for dinner. I’ve never been around so many happy employees, both equine and human!
