Catamarans really are more fun to sail with the special bow nets designed for sunbathing, and lounging around watching sea life, and water rush by. The swift and stable ocean design ensures a comfortable, and exhilarating ride without the rolling and leaning that often causes seasickness on other boats. When you are welcomed aboard, you'll feel comfortable right away because we really do like people, and with such small groups, you've escaped the crowds. We always say it's great to be a tourist, but better to not feel like a tourist. With cushioned seating with back rests, our catamarans are comfortable for all ages of guests from young kids to seniors. A perfect way to spend a lazy day, unwinding and relaxing, no cares in the world.

A unforgettable experience. Captain Ryan was a perfect host for our group adventure on the sea. The locals told us he’s the best and I didn’t know his boat was a rare one of a kind. What a beautiful night in San Diego, on the sea. Very beautiful and peaceful and an extremely memorable time with our friends/family.

We went in a circle around the bay/harbor very slowly. Capt. Andy didn’t really give any insight into landmarks unless someone asked. He told us where the drinks were but never offered to get anyone anything. And people were encouraged to not use blankets in the front because the blankets might get splashed. So I guess they don’t wash them after being used. At times we just drifted. When we turned around we got back to the entrance of the harbor at 5:10 and drifted for at least 30 mins. Tour was over at 6:00. One woman fell asleep. Total waste of time. You could have just parked your car near the marina and had the same view we did. I would definitely skip this tour.

Hi Erin, I'm disappointed to hear that we underdelivered on your experience, its far from the standard that we set and strive to consistently deliver. I appreciate the honest feedback to your sailing tour, what you have outlined here is not the experience we trained our newest captain to deliver and is a great teachable moment for him. I contacted you privately for a resolution that I think you will like. In terms of hospitality we have multiple sets of complementary cozy Mexican blankets that we regularly rotate onto the boat and wash the captain should allow you to use them however you wish and has been corrected with the captain. We spend a lot of time stocking and chilling premium beverages including glass bottled wine (many serve boxed wine). For a captain to not regularly offer and refill isn't acceptable performance. The evening tours prevailing conditions generally have decreasing wind and sometimes its a difficult balance to maintain the peace of pure sailing which is our intention as lifelong competitive sailors and running the motor to make headway as we loose the wind. For those looking for a livelier sail we absolutely recommend our midday or afternoon sailing adventures which are also listed on our page. In addition to our resolution I would love the opportunity to offer you a free re-sail with myself personally to show you the proper Fun Cat sailing experience we have prided ourselves on sharing with thousands of guests over the past 14 years.
