The plantation visit was amazing. It’s a beautiful property. The inside of the plantation house was smaller than we expected but the tour was great. Midge was a great tour guide on the bus ride. We loved the swamp boat tour. Captain Dustin with Cajun Pride did an amazing job on the swamp. We saw dozens of alligators, big and small, plus wild boar and raccoons. At the end Dusten had a small baby alligator each of us could hold.

This was a great way to get an informative overview of basic New Orleans history and antebellum plantation slavery. The swamp tour was well worth it -- we saw a glut of alligators, raccoons, and hogs. Our guide was entertaining, charming, easy-going, and knowledgeable!
