We booked the tour on what ended up being a very foggy day. Since they didn't cancel due to the fog, we anticipated a decent trip as maybe they knew the fog lifted once we got out of the marina. Well, the fog never cleared and other then about 3 minutes of narration, the captain said NOTHING during the entire 1 hr + trip! While we could not see anything, he could at least of talked about local sea life, how many boats in the area that call this "home", what fish were popular to fish for in the area etc. Instead we got NOTHING for nearly 70 minutes. After we returned to our slip, I stopped at the booking office to talk to the person there and they only said "I'll talk to the captain". The captain then walked into the office where I repeated my constructive criticism and he said "with as foggy as it was out there, I was solely focused on navigated in the fog and didn't have time for any talking". So you basically admitted that it was too foggy to navigate but yet you took about 60 people out into the fog? Very poor seamanship in my mind (and possibly a USCG violation?) and shows you're just into it for the money as customer safety was of no concern!
