We booked the tour for 6 adults, my 4 adult kids were down from the north for my wife's birthday. It was an unfortunate choice. First, we rented a large enough vehicle for the 6 of us to go together and drove an hour to get there. Next, the instructions as to where to park were completely useless, we ended up paying for parking on the street. Next, there were NO clear instructions as to where were were to find or board the boat. After tracking the pier down thanks to asking 4 different people, we found the pier, waited for 20 minutes speaking with others there for the tour, at 2 minutes past the scheduled time of 4 o'clock, a person in front of us came walking by us telling us she just got a call from the history tour saying the trip had been cancelled, some problem with the boat. Not fully believing her since we had not been contacted nor had the 4 people in front of us been contacted about a cancellation, I called the company and was greeted by a gruff person, confirming the tour had been cancelled and stating that they had "contacted us by phone, email and text 2 hours ago" which was a bold face lie. None of the parties had been contacted except the person who received a call 2 minutes after the tour was to have started. Complete lack of concern from the tour company as they stood by their statement that they had contacted all of us. NOT TRUE. I do not have a text, an email, nor a message or call in my history on my phone. Finally, he offered up the reason of a rope being caught in the engine and a diver was under the boat trying to solve the problem. Of course he stated we would get a refund but how about the inconvenience for my family, the $112 for a rent a car, the gas, the wasted time. Sorry, but I am upset about such an unprofessional operation and such a lack of concern. Is the tour good, I can't tell you, but the service sucks.
