Tasty Global Bites is a walking food tour of Nolita (North of Little Italy). This tour is offered for foodies (visitors and locals alike) looking to try global cuisine. On this 3 hour tour you will enjoy 6 amazing tastings, 3 seated and 3 on-the-go as your knowledgeable tour guide entertains you with exciting stories and secrets of the area's past and the ever changing food scene.

The six tastings feature a Spanish churro sandwich, NYC pizza with a twist, falafel, mouthwatering fresh Sicilian pasta, Onigiri (Japanese rice ball) and a scrumptious dessert, gelato. Some tastings are on-the-go as we aim to see as much as possible of the neighborhoods in 3 hours’ time. Wine is offered to guests 21 and older at the seated pasta tasting.

Discover a scrumptious NYC neighborhood, Nolita (north of Little Italy) on this three-hour food and walking tour. You will begin your tour at a popular churrerira. Your friendly guide will provide you with an in-depth introduction to the neighborhood and an overview of the tour while you enjoy a fresh hot churro breakfast sandwich. From there, you will explore Nolita, visit historical landmarks and continue your culinary journey. You will taste Israeli falafel, a classic spin on NYC pizza, fresh homemade Sicilian pasta (with an option to enjoy a glass of wine), authentic gelato and Japanese rice balls (onigiri). This tour is ideal for those looking to taste a variety of cuisine all within three hours’ time. Finally, each participant is provided with a helpful handout at the beginning of the tour which includes a list of all the tastings and recommendations.

This tour left me well-fed and much more well-informed about Mulberry Street and the surrounding areas. Liz and Alana are both excellent guides: knowledgeable, personable, and kept us all happy throughout our 3 hours. They were conscientious and well prepared to address food requirements some of the guests had without any fuss. The food was diverse culturally - Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, and Vietnamese were all represented and all were quality choices. We learned a lot about the foods and the cultures' contributions to Mulberry St. I wasn't expecting much food - just tastings here and there but I was pretty much set for the rest of the day afterwards! Highlights were some choice Spanish churros, French cheeses, a sizable pasta dish, and egg waffle ice cream. Along the way we learned about some fairly action-packed events on the street - all were new to me despite living here for the last 20 years. Very entertaining stuff centering around crime, law, mafia history, and more over the course of NYC's history without being over-the-top or corny. I left satisfied and smarter! Highly recommended for locals and tourists alike.

I organized a girls' outing for me and my childhood friends. Some of us are from out of town and some of us are native New Yorkers. This event was fun, informative and entertaining for all of us! The restaurants and food selected for the tour were amazing and an added bonus that we didn't expect was the educational aspect our tour guide shared with us as we walked the few blocks around Little Italy. If you are lucky enough to get Liz the guide, you will not be disappointed. This is a woman who loves what she does and makes the entire day entertaining. Not a lot of walking. Come hungry to the tour!!!

So fun to eat great food and learn about the culture/history of Mulberry Street. I have made many visits to the area but never knew much about the buildings history and the interesting stories. Alana was charming and very informative! I highly recommend.
