Designated by Congress as the official WWII museum of the United States, The National WWII Museum is located in downtown New Orleans on a six-acre campus, where five soaring pavilions house historical exhibits, on-site restoration work, a period dinner theater, and restaurants.

Beyond All Boundaries is a film depicting the battles of World War II. The film is shown in 4-D, and includes archive footage and special effects. Produced and narrated by Tom Hanks and is shown solely in The National World War II Museum, New Orleans.

Wow! What a beautifully moving experience! This was one of the most thorough, engaging, informative museums that I’ve ever visited. There are so many exhibits using many senses to educate and inform visitors about the worldwide impact of WW2. One could spend hours in this place and still just scratch the surface. I also enjoyed that the volunteers I encountered were Veterans themselves. My heart welled up with gratitude for these brave individuals that served our country! I would highly recommend this place!

Highly recommend this amazing museum experience to everyone visiting NOLA. Brilliantly curated collection of WWII artifacts. We spent 4 hours soaking in the exhibits, 4D movie & history.
