The Official Art Deco Gift Shop

Founded in 1976, The Miami Design Preservation League has proudly offered guided walking tours of The Art Deco District for over 40 years. All Proceeds go towards supporting preservation. Visitors are introduced to the history, architecture, and preservation efforts of Miami Beach. Tour ticket includes free admission to the Art Deco Museum and Gift Shop. There are a limited amount of tickets available for each tour, so early bookings are encouraged . Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure for check-in.

Thank you MBPL for offering this wonderful tour. Our guide, Mr. Mark Gordon was extremely knowledgeable and his enthusiasm led to a delightful experience. Even through hurricane like gales and chilling rain, Mark kept us warm and engaged, delighting us with his behind the scene secrets and welcoming approach. Five star experience I’ll share with all my friends and family.

This 1.5 hour tour took us around South Beach, into some hotels and pausing in front of others. We learned about the history of this community as well as the characteristics of its architecture. Our guide was clear and well organized. And he was very patient with those of us who were slow of foot. This tour was as interesting and enlightening as the one we took of the early tall building of Chicago.

We were quite a larger than normal group, but our guide, Julie, did a fantastic job keeping everyone’s attention and interest. The tour exceeded the two hours as she tailored it to the interests of the group and she gave great detailed answers to questions asked. The tour itself was very informative. I had been on a intimate, only 5 adults, Art Deco tour of this area before, and I learned much more from her tour. She was enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable about the history, the architecture and the culture of South Beach. Recommend it highly.
