United Kitchens w Borough of Global Eats z kulinarnymi zaułkami

We’ll start our day off in bustling Corona Plaza, in the shadow of the elevated tracks of the 7 train, for a visit to a family-run Mexican bakery and, not far away, a taste of handmade tortillas and, on the weekends, pit-roasted goat. Also near the plaza, we’ll stop into a small bakery and café, owned by an immigrant who got his start toiling in the back kitchens of Manhattan restaurants, for a traditional cemita, the behemoth sandwich that’s the pride and joy of Puebla, Mexico. From there our walk will continue along Roosevelt Avenue, the area’s main artery and Queens’s own version of the Pan-American Highway, ducking into markets and stopping by vendors representing Mexico, Ecuador and Argentina. On a side street, we’ll drop by a Colombian “fast food” joint for that country’s almost surreal take on the New York hot dog, with topping options that include cheese, ham, bacon, eggs, pineapple and crushed potato chips. We’ll end our Queens food tour at a neighborhood café.

THE TOUR WAS AMAZING !! I am from Mexico, but I can say that I stayed amazed the whole tour. First, for the variety of places and people we visited. Second, for the great taste of each dish ( including refreshing drinks and desserts ) and finally, the history and stories behind the food, made it very special, Sierra was a fantastic tour guide, she gave us incredible recommendations. I love to eat good and tasty food, so I highly recommend this tour If you are really interested in knowing the best local food in New York.

This was the second time I've done this tour and it was fantastic once again. Esneider is a brilliant guide with so much experience and local knowledge. We visited places from a huge variety of different countries around the world and got to try food that is probably not available anywhere else. Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who is curious about exploring the diversity of Queens through delicious food.

Esneider is a knowledgeable, courteous, and entertaining tour guide. Each of his culinary stops was enhanced by a personal connection, historical background, and cultural insight. I learned a lot, and the information was made memorable by the incredible food it was related to. My group had fun with time to chat together, learn from Esneider, and eat a ton of food. It was a long day, but a comfortable pace with a nice mix of flavors. Esneider did a fantastic job of immersing us in the neighborhoods, it felt like I was in a different country. An incredibly generous all-day tour, worth every penny!
