Thundering Streams and Falls of the Smokies Wycieczka piesza z przewodnikiem

Przegląd
With 3100 miles of streams in the Smokies, there are thousands of beautiful stretches of white water. Adventure awaits as you explore the magic of pristine cascades and waterfalls on a little-known trail. We'll warm up on a more popular trail, pausing to enjoy smaller cascades before turning onto a less traveled section of the Park. In the winter, we'll enjoy beautiful glimpses of the surrounding mountains, during the spring we'll pause to enjoy our famous wildflower display, summer brings refreshing swimming holes, and in autumn the beauty of changing leaves. This hike is considered moderately adventurous as we gain elevation, climb over downed trees and get our feet wet. **Please note: The Great Smoky Mountains National Park will require parking tags for any vehicle stopping longer than 15 minutes.

Park Narodowy Great Smoky Mountains
Podczas tej wędrówki odwiedzimy popularny szlak, mijając kilka pięknych kaskad i widoków, zanim wyruszymy na mniej uczęszczany szlak, aby zobaczyć spektakularne kaskady i wodospady. Poznamy ten różnorodny las, nacieszymy się pięknymi starymi drzewami, a wiosną zatrzymamy się w zachwycie różnorodnością dzikich kwiatów. Ta przygoda wymaga pewnego przewyższenia, zanim przejdziemy do spokojniejszego szlaku. Przygotuj się na wspinaczkę po powalonych drzewach i zmoczenie stóp. Spotkasz swojego przewodnika w NOC w centrum Gatlinburga, gdzie podążysz za nim własnym pojazdem 10 minut do początku szlaku.

Our guide Sam was incredibly knowledgeable about the Smokys and made sure the pace of the guided hike was comfortable for the entire group. She also brought us a snack and even made us hemlock tea that we could enjoy with our snack. We appreciated her wealth of knowledge. The hike had some incline but enough opportunity to rest so it was very doable. A Walk In The Woods seems like a very organized and reputable option for hiking/backpacking guides.

With over 30 years of experience Ken is an expert of the flora and fauna of this beautiful park! He opens one’s eyes to things the average hiker would never notice, sharing his knowledge, love, and appreciation for the Smokies; even sharing one of the secret gems of the trail. I highly recommend this trip!! Tammy and Larry

Could not find the meeting place and no reception in the park. We went on our own up to Laurel Falls. There should be a marker to indicate where 1420 Fighting Creek Gap is located to assist the hiker who is new to the park.

Hello, We are so sorry you had trouble finding the meeting location. We meet here almost daily and rarely have an issue. In addition to the address, the building name is also stated in the confirmation as the Sugarlands Visitors Center. In the future, if you have trouble with reception, the park staff in the visitors center will also let you call us if needed. Hope you enjoyed your hike to Laurel Falls. Thanks, Patricia
