This course gives you a real scuba diving experience during which you will go out on the dive boat and do 2 dives on our beautiful coral reefs with one of our instructors. You will see uncountable varieties of colorful fish and possibly nurse sharks, reef sharks, eagle rays, turtles, goliath groupers and barracudas. We have no dangerous animals on our reefs, so you can relax and enjoy!

The price of this full day adventure includes everything you need for the experience (academics, rental gear, pool training, instructor for the whole day), and at the end of the day your souvenir certificate. All you need is a swimsuit and a towel.

Please note that you must be able to swim in order to learn how to scuba dive. You must also be in excellent health.

Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap

Must know how to swim comfortably (e.g swim two laps in a pool without floating device and standing up or holding on to side of pool_)

Must not fly on an airplane or participate in any activity at high altitude until 10 AM on the next day.

I did my Open Water Diver certification with Scuba Fun in two very full, but fun days about a week apart. I need to echo the strengths mentioned in the other reviews--very responsive (via e-mail, my preferred communication), great instructors (I had Rob, Elana, & Jeff), nice rental gear, and very competitive pricing. I was very nervous my first day, but by the afternoon was feeling far more comfortable, due to the support of the instructors. They were not pushovers by any means--if they thought you needed to repeat a skill in order to learn it and demonstrate it property, they made you repeat it. I liked that because it gave me more confidence once I "got" it. Plus, the instructors were very supportive through the whole process. The Open Water dives were magical--on Molasses Reef in Key Largo--gorgeous fish, incredible coral formations, and terrific support from instructor Jeff. A great experience--I will be back to dive with Scuba Fun as soon as possible!

Myself and my adult children planned a 4 day diving and fishing vacation. I and my daughter needed a refresher course and my son needed to be certified. We used Rick for the refresher and certification. He did a great job. He was prefessional, knowledgeable and comprehensive. I had not been in the area for a long time so we relied on Scuba-Fun not only to help us with the diving but, for recommendations for food and fishing. Every recommendation was perfect. We enjoyed the best diving, fishing and eating we could have wanted. Clearly quality people know other quality people. We will use them again.
