Just did 2 days of diving with Banyan Tree. I highly recommend them. I had a great time. The diving was awesome. The dive gear is good quality. Caitlin is a professional diver and a great tour guide. She has a phenomenal eye for finding wild life. In addition to all the turtles and sharks, she found multiple frog fish. A couple of them were hard for me to find even after she pointed them out! Finally Banyan Tree demonstrated that they are very customer focused. It was very important to me that I dove early in the morning so I had plenty of time to be with my wife during the day. They accommodated me by meeting me at the dive site at 7am for a private dive. We were out of the water after 2 tanks, each hour long dives, by 10am. I was back to the resort in time for breakfast both days. Furthermore I didn't have to meet them at the shop before diving. All of this was extremely convenient for me and I got to enjoy my entire vacation beyond the awesome diving. The level of service to customize a dive itinerary for me personally was above and beyond any dive operator I have experienced in Hawaii. Mala Warf dive was epic. I never experienced such incredible shore diving before. The entry and exit is a pain. Since it was low tide, we had to walk out into the water across a bunch of rocks before being in water deep enough to put on fins. This was a little sketchy on the way out and a little tiring on the way back. However the dive was so incredible that I did it a second time, and would do again any time I'm in Maui. Kapalua Bay was beautiful as well. Here the entry was very simple and easy from a sandy beach with no waves. After a short surface swim we dropped down into some nice corals and lots sea life. Got to do both sides of the bay and they were each very different dives. Overall I would recommend Banyan Tree Divers to anyone that wants to dive. Especially if you are looking for a more personalized experience; Banyan Tree Divers are definitely the right people to dive with on Maui.
