2 hour bus tour of Chicago's gangster past. Very informative and very funny. Not a lot to see but the stories had me enthralled.

This 90 minute journey in the old gangster bus was a great way to spend a Sunday morning. After being greeted by a couple of shady characters we were taken around the streets of Chicago and given a very entertaining yet informative gangster tour. The North side, the South side, the West side, Buggs Moran, Al Capone, little Italy and Chinatown were all there. Lots of interesting facts about Chicago past and present and even a ride past Oz park and the Tin Man. This is where the writer of the Wizard of Oz came from, not a gangster himself but another part of Chicago’s history lesson. A very enjoyable and must do trip if visiting Chicago. Good value for the money.

We all know that Chicago is (in)famous for its gangster history but the official city tours rarely mention the days of prohibition, bootlegging and Al Capone ,etc... It's as if that period has been airbrushed from history? However, thanks to "Johnny Rocco" and his driver, "Nails" we were given a 90 minute tour of all the key locations and characters of the era concerned and it was done with style and humour. Another review bemoaned the fact that the tour didn't do things in chronological order but that didn't detract from our enjoyment. I can best describe the tour as "historical street theatre on a bus" and would recommend it to anyone looking to find out more about Chicago's dark past. Hell, 2 of our party even managed to win 3 of the raffle prizes on offer so it was a good night all round. I believe there are just 3 tours per day so I recommend booking in advance as our bus was full.
