The description of the tour sounded very interesting. However the tour itself was very bland and minimal- a waste of time. Have taken many tours in NOLA and this one was very poorly done- maybe 3 or 4 interesting facts over the entire timeframe which was much shorter than described. Have taken other voodoo tours in the past which were interesting, factual and detailed. The guide was boring with minimal interest and did not appear knowledgeable whatsoever. In reading prior reviews the experience was most likely based on the particular guide but with such variation I’d go elsewhere and not gamble in the experience.

Guide did not walk us back to where we started/met; he left us on a random side road way off and away from populated areas. Could barely hear guide. He kept hiccuping and burping as if he was drunk for an 11am tour. The tour info said the guide would take us through an authentic voodoo shop. He did not; he pointed in a direction and said we could walk 10 minutes up and to the right if we wanted to check it out. Tour info also said the cost of the tour didn’t include the admission to the cemetery, which insinuates we would be going there but paying our own way. We didn’t even go to the cemetery where the voodoo queen was laid to rest. The info on this tour was all around very misleading and guide (John) was unprofessional and grossly underprepared. Will not be recommending to others.

Great tour with a knowledgeable guide that made the tour interesting. Lots of local knowledge and a great overview of what voodoo actually is.
