This was a very active and satisfying tour. We chose the afternoon tour (didnt want to get up so early) but they called us that the afternoon tour didn't fill up, so could we do the morning one instead. We agreed and in retrospect it was better this way. A bit uncomfortable getting up at 5:30, but the morning on the river was beautiful, and all day it wasn't too hot. Bryan, our guide was super informative and helpful and caring. He was a one-man-show, driving the cart full of Kayaks, launching them, giving instructions, watching out for us, guiding us through the hike, telling us stories, then re-loading the kayaks and taking us back. Our kayak took on water, he stopped, emptied the water, switched kayaks with us, helped out another couple, towed their boat, etc, he was a really good guide. The kayaking was wonderful and easy enough. The ~45 min hike was harder than I expected, many rocks, roots. Lucky it wasn't raining, Bryan said we'd be slipping sliding in the mud. Important to have good watershoes/sandals that are hiking shoes also, my watershoes, I thought had too thin sole. The waterfall was beautiful, the water was nice and cool. The hike back was the same, kayaking back was a bit longer, because of the headwind. This tour was also the cheapest, but they dont provide water or snacks - have something for breakfast before you head out. You need to be in relatively good shape for this tour. I much recommend this tour.
