Wonderful! We had a great time. The kayaking is very easygoing and the river is beautiful.. The hike to the waterfall, while totally worth it, could be challenging at times. It was very muddy and we crossed several streams and rivers. My parents were with us… very active 80 year olds… and I worried about them slipping and falling in the mud and on the rocks. Ironically, while they had a couple close calls, it was me that ended up slipping and sliding down a bank and into the stream :) no injuries, just a lot of mud everywhere!
I loved the waterfall. Completely worth the effort to get to it. Our group seemed in a hurry to leave though. We were the last ones in there for the day and had it to ourselves and I would have enjoyed spending a bit more time there.. but the majority won.
Hawaiian Brian was our guide. He works Wednesdays… so go on a Wednesday if you can! He was informative and fun!
