The entire experience was highly disappointing! We booked the Adventure Tour, and they changed it to the Classic Tour, without giving us even 24 hours notice. We had already booked a sea plane ride independently that couldn't be cancelled at such short notice. We had no choice but to go on the Classic Tour, even though we didn't want to. This is the second time we are taking this tour. The first one (in November last year) was disappointing as well, with zero whale sightings. We were hoping to see some on this trip, but alas! The website is not transparent about the probability of sightings, citing "90%" probability, which I believe is false. The website should provide statistics each month to allow visitors to make an informed decision. This company appears to be purely a money-making enterprise!

We went on June 6th and had booked the adventure tour. They cancelled the adventure tour less than 24 hours before it started and moved us to the classic tour. Since it was so last minute we could not re-schedule our flights to the island and had to take the tour even though we didn't want this one. The weather was stormy and we would have ideally shifted it to another day if it was told to us more than 24 hours before the trip started so we could cancel flights too. We didn't see any whales, just some sheep, sea lions and bald eagles. We understand that whale sightings are not guaranteed but it would be nicer if they were more transparent about this. They kept avoiding this fact whenever asked.

It was a nice experience, we did get to see orca whales at a distance. The crew was great, very friendly and extremely informative.Friday Harbour
