  • Between November and March, when the trail is not safe due to snow and ice accumulation, we substitute the hike with additional time in Yosemite Valley.
  • The Giant Sequoias Grove is located at a higher elevation and the hike is dependent on trail conditions, especially from October through May. Ice and snow might make the trail unsafe to hike. The decision of whether it is safe to go on the hike will be made on a day by day basis. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed. However, while the trail might be closed, guests get to spend more time in Yosemite Valley. There you can see all the other great sights Yosemite has to offer, including El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more.
  • As tour sizes vary, transportation is in a 15-passenger van or up to a 40-passenger tour bus
  • Tour makes stops at approximately 8:30am for breakfast, 1pm for lunch and on the trip back for dinner. Meals are not included
  • For hotel pickups, please select the Hilton Union Square if your hotel is not listed
  • California law requires tour guests to bring a car safety seat for all children under 8 years and under 4' 9" (1.4 meters) in height. Any guest that does not provide their child's safety seat at the time of the tour and does not inform the tour operator may not be allowed to board the tour and will not be subject to refund.

Very long but enjoyable trip in a big comfortable bus with working AC. We were told that the bus was used since pax were many, around 48. We were picked up 30 minutes late. Picked up at around 6:30 am, returned at 10:30 pm on pick-up site, so trip took about 16 hours total. Stops and free time in Yosemite were adequate for photo taking and exploring some majestic sites. We arrived around 12 noon at the park, had many stops for photos, with 2 hours free time to explore the falls or meadow. The park is huge, so do not expect to visit all sites in a few hours. Hike to see the giant sequoias was tiring, but doable. Separate driver and guide. Guide talked a lot about water source and use, his family, important persons, park information, etc. So much details, some not related to the trip and park! I did not listen to all the details, but could not also sleep, since guide was using a mike. Movie "Free Solo" played in the bus was very good. I would recommend this tour.

If you are thinking of booking this, then do! Yes it's a long day but it is broken up with bathroom and food stops each way. This is the first group tour we've ever done but our tour guide David was amazing and made everyone feel at ease. The picture points are amazing, and the views we will never forget. The alloted time for stops doesn't sound too long but it is plenty of time to take pictures and videos. The hike at the end through the woods is very tough but doable, we had an 81 year old in the group that managed it. Make sure you take water if it's hot. Seeing a little deer at the end of the hike was the cherry on top.
