  • Between November and March, when the trail is not safe due to snow and ice accumulation, we substitute the hike with additional time in Yosemite Valley.
  • The Giant Sequoias Grove is located at a higher elevation and the hike is dependent on trail conditions, especially from October through May. Ice and snow might make the trail unsafe to hike. The decision of whether it is safe to go on the hike will be made on a day by day basis. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed. However, while the trail might be closed, guests get to spend more time in Yosemite Valley. There you can see all the other great sights Yosemite has to offer, including El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more.
  • As tour sizes vary, transportation is in a 15-passenger van or up to a 40-passenger tour bus
  • Tour makes stops at approximately 8:30am for breakfast, 1pm for lunch and on the trip back for dinner. Meals are not included
  • For hotel pickups, please select the Hilton Union Square if your hotel is not listed
  • California law requires tour guests to bring a car safety seat for all children under 8 years and under 4' 9" (1.4 meters) in height. Any guest that does not provide their child's safety seat at the time of the tour and does not inform the tour operator may not be allowed to board the tour and will not be subject to refund.

We went on this trip with Brian. He was an amazing guide. Even if our day was messed up with rain he did his best to help us make the best out of it. The tour was well planned. Provided enough time to explore the valley. Really recommend this trip.

I was really excited about this bus trip from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park, but unfortunately, it didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped. The biggest issue was that the bus broke down on the way there, leaving us stranded on the side of the road for hours. While I understand that these things can happen, there was very little communication about what was going on, which made the situation even more frustrating. To make matters worse, the bus driver was also our guide, but his English was difficult to understand, so most of the explanations about Yosemite and our itinerary were unclear. By the time we finally arrived at the park, we had way less time than expected, which made everything feel rushed. Instead of a relaxed visit, it felt like we were constantly watching the clock. The return trip was thankfully uneventful, but overall, the experience felt poorly organized. Maybe we just had bad luck with the breakdown, but the poor communication really hurt the experience. If you’re considering this tour, be prepared for potential delays and don’t expect a well-guided experience.

We had a lovely day with our guide Glenda. She is a fantastic story teller and she took the extra effort to check if we could visit the giant sequoia during winter time. And succeeded!
