It's a beautiful river and this is the best way to experience it. I was in the Sedona area and wouldn't miss a second run. Monday morning and I had the river all to myself. Added bonus: got to watch a couple black hawks defend their cliffs from a beautiful attacking Red Hawk.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary with Verde Adventure "Water to Wine" kayak trip. The manager, Anthony, was friendly, reliable and informative. He went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. His participation speaks well for the reputation of all the guides. We are experienced kayakers but found that the flat bottom boats used by Verde Adventures were a bit different than expected. However, these rudderless boats were sturdy, safe, comfortable, easy to maneuver. After a few minutes, we began to appreciate the entertaining way they bounced off obstacles and spun aground to give a relaxing 360-degree view of the scenery. The follow-on wine tasting at the Alcantara vineyard, with live music made this an anniversary to treasure. We are going to do this trip again.

Mariano, tour guide, was wonderful in preparing us for the kayaking trip!! Seeing the great horned owl was an unexpected delight!! Migrating monarch butterfllies and yellow butterflies. We had a great time with lots of laughs. A relaxing trip that ended with a visit to wine tasting, delicious lunch and beautiful live music.
