The Water to Wine Kayaking activity was a fun way to spend a hot afternoon during our trip to Sedona. The guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. The equipment includes an inflatable kayak used to float on the Verde River and the river itself is quite shallow. There are a few areas of miniature rapids but mostly feels like a float on a lazy river. The activity includes $20/person at Alcantara Winery (which is owns the property near where you start/stop) to use however you wish. We did a build your own wine flight and enjoyed some live music after kayaking. Definitely recommend to anyone going to the area and would go again as well.

The entire experience was excellent. The guides were very nice, the river had beautiful scenery and small rapids to keep it exciting, and the winery was the perfect place to enjoy the late afternoon!

Totally fun, relaxing, and beautiful. The Water to Wine kayak trip is a self-guided 2-hr float through a section of the Verde River with plenty of greenery and wildlife viewing. We even saw a turtle and king snake (which is a totally harmless snake)! Our Verde Adventures driver gave all the directions needed for a fun and safe float down the river. The boats were top quality, too. At the end of our kayak trip we were told where and how to clean up for the next part of our fun - drinking wine on the grassy lawn at Alcantara. With a $20 per person credit at Alcantara, we were able to purchase wine and appetizer food for our group of six. The wine is easy drinking and the appetizer plates kind of standard (oddly, they give you too much cheese/meat/hummus and not enough bread/crackers/celery/carrots)m but who can complain when the views are gorgeous. Our kids even enjoyed watching the vineyard cats.
