Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. The canyon is glorious, everyone we met with the tour company was friendly, knowledgeable, sharing. By the end of our tour I felt our guide was our friend. She shared her knowledge of history, geography and her cultural traditions and beliefs. I didn’t want the tour to end! The canyon is a very special place that is owned and shared by very special people.

This was a great trip. Beauty Way Jeep Tours is a locally owned outfit and we had the person running the organization as our guide. He was not only a wonderful guide but also very willing to share his knowledge of the Navajo people. A very nice and educational trip. Highly recommended.
