Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance (time permitted and seasonal option) to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. We had a great time - our guide Don was very knowledgeable and generous in sharing so many interesting historical stories and some of the ways that Navajos historically have been part of Canyon de Chelley and also shared stories of his own experiences growing up. We had a wonderful time and would recommend them heartily to anyone!

We had a great tour guide Elsie Cly. Her family lived in the canyon. We took a lot of great pictures. It was one of the best tours we have done on TripAdvisor.

I greatly enjoyed Leander's stories of the canyon, of the Navajo people, and of his family. I especially appreciate his ability to know when I wanted to spend more time at a given place to more fully experience the incredible beauty of the canyon and his patience in answering my many questions. You can drive the north and south rims and peer through the telescopes to see some of the same petroglyphs and ruins but it doesn't compare to experiencing the canyon in a Beauty Way Jeep with a knowledgeable Navajo guide.
