You will depart Tusayan, Arizona located in the South Rim of the Grand Canyon on the safest and most comfortable-tourism based helicopter in the world. You will continue your journey as you follow the Colorado River upstream viewing at a distance the 146-square mile Painted Desert and the 70-foot (21-meter) Desert View Watchtower, a National Historic Landmark.

The Desert View Watchtower features an observation deck from which visitors to the national park can view eastern portions of the Grand Canyon.

Next, view Marble Canyon, the section of the Colorado River which marks the beginning of the Grand Canyon, and Point Imperial, the highest point on the North Rim at 8,803 feet (2,683 meters). Point Imperial overlooks the Painted Desert and the eastern end of Grand Canyon. You will fly through the Canyon above the North Rim heading south through the Dragon Corridor, the widest and deepest section of the Canyon.

What an absolute treat to be able to experience the vastness and scale of the Grand Canyon. We loved our experience with Maverick Helicopters from the moment of booking to seeing the videos of our flight. A very special thank you to Traci Henderson in customer service and Jeff our very informative and reassuring pilot. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to see the Grand Canyon!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We only had limited time in the Grand Canyon so this was a great way to see everything. The ground crew were very friendly and the waiting area was tastefully done. Everything, both in the terminal and on the helicopter was very clean and COVID-19 compliant. Our pilot was excellent - very smooth ride and told us useful information about all of the sight we were taking in. There is an opportunity at the end to purchase a photo and video of the trip, which was reasonably price. Would highly recommend this opportunity.

My daughter and I enjoyed the 9AM tour - it was the perfect amount of time and the pilot was informative and shared interesting info about the landscape of the canyon. The flight was comfortable.
