Upper Geyser Basin
Yellowstone’s famous Old Faithful is a must-see on everyone’s trip to Yellowstone National Park. This is a nice way to tour the Old Faithful area. Don’t get stuck in the busy traffic at Old Faithful! Meet us at the Biscuit Basin Trailhead to see Yellowstone’s most famous geyser, avoiding parking problems. Explore geysers, hot springs, steam vents and mud pots along the Firehole River. The hike is a six hour, six-mile loop. There are some ups and downs along the hike as we follow boardwalks and dirt trails, totaling 500 feet of elevation gain. We learn about the supervolcano we sit in as we enjoy a hearty picnic lunch next to exploding waters. Yellowstone Hiking Guides provides a morning snack, hearty picnic lunch, bear spray, backpacks, optical gear, trekking poles, and a professional guide.

Ненадолго заезжаем в Old Faithful Inn.

I actually ended up upgrading my tour as I wanted a ride from my lodging into the park. I did an Active Summer Van Tour (8 hr) that covered the Old Faithful Geyser, Yellowstone Lake, and the Grand Canyon (largest waterfall) of the Yellowstone River. Each stop had quite different spectacular beauty from the next. I really enjoyed having so many stops to see as I could only go for the day. And Emily Jo clearly is passionate and very knowledgeable about what she does. We kept plying her with questions, and she had all the answers. This trip was a real joy and in a comfortable vehicle. Being a hiker, I didn’t get a chance to hike/sweat as much as I wanted with the option I chose, but we had several people in the group at different physical ability levels. So some sat while others explored some areas more. I would highly recommend this tour and tour company, and I hope to have an opportunity to try another tour of theirs in the future.

Emily Jo was super energetic, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Perfect way to combine the tourist parts of Yellowstone with spots you wouldn’t venture to without a guide. Great experience!
