St. Paul's Chapel
We will start the tour at St. Paul's Chapel, New York City’s oldest public building still in continuous use. Just one block away from the 9/11 attacks, it miraculously survived the falling building and debris. St. Paul’s Chapel served as a makeshift rescue center during the aftermath. Its iron fence became a bulletin board where family members posted notices of their missing loved ones. Today, with the mementos received from people around the world supporting New York City, the church serves as both a landmark and a tribute.

This is not our usual go to attraction. ON our second trip to New York we decided to book in for a tour. We did our tour on November 18th and frankly it wasn't until we went into the Museum by ourselves that we really appreciated the site. Tony our walking tour guide - we found did not want to be there. He was stiff or didn't like the fact that there was only 4 in the tour. He didnt seem to care about his paying customers and just carried on regardless. Any question he didnt know he would scoff at you or reply in a very patronising way. His attitude was sh!t as we say in Australia. And to top it off he asked for a "good tip"!. He is a tip Tony - relax and love your job and it will be reflected in your Tips. Despite Tony - we thoroughly enjoyed the Museum but wont be recommending the walking tour..

Jennifer was a fabulous tour guide, she was very informative and knowledgable on the memorial and the local area. We really got a feel of the local impact from her. She had loads of interesting facts and held everyones attention with her clear delivery and stories about the memorial. There was seven of us in our group joining the tour and we all agreed how informative and enjoyable it was and how it set us up in good stead ahead of going into the Museum afterwards. Highly recommended

excellent tour guide (Thank you Mary!). DO NOT get fooled by the people who try and sell picture stories at the tour meeting place before the guides arrive.
