St. Paul's Chapel
We will start the tour at St. Paul's Chapel, New York City’s oldest public building still in continuous use. Just one block away from the 9/11 attacks, it miraculously survived the falling building and debris. St. Paul’s Chapel served as a makeshift rescue center during the aftermath. Its iron fence became a bulletin board where family members posted notices of their missing loved ones. Today, with the mementos received from people around the world supporting New York City, the church serves as both a landmark and a tribute.

This was our third consecutive trip to NYC over the holidays but our first trip to the 911 Memorial. And boy are we glad we made the trip. Wow, what a great day. It all starts with our tour guide Nick. We couldn’t have asked for a more knowledgeable, personable, and all round great guy. Nick knows all there is to know about that day and he is able to describe it in a very descriptive and personal way that you feel as if you were there on that tragic day. He also has a personal connection to the day and Memorial as his God mother was on one of the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers. You could tell that the event and Memorial have a very special meaning and connection for him. Our tour started at St. Paul’s Church, just a few blocks away from the Memorial. We first toured the World Trade Center Station, a beautiful bird-shaped building, and then toured both the North and South Tower memorials. One of which lists the name of Nick’s God mother. We then toured the location of a future memorial that will list the names of those who died from illnesses or injuries resulting from being exposed to the fires, ash, and rubble from the devastation. We then visited the NYFD which housed the fireman who were the very first of the First Responders. Many of which died that day. A memorial is dedicated to their bravery. And finally the tour ended at the doorstep to the entrance to the 911 museum where we gained immediate access. Overall it was a fantastic and very moving experience for our entire family and we HIGHLY recommend it. And thank you Nick for a very educational and enjoyable experience. Sincerely, Scott S. Superbly organised and efficient operation. We had a tour guide called Ibeth who was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about her job. Would recommend this experience to everyone - make sure you get museum tickets, it is well worth it and you can skip the queue! Awesome!!!!

I waited a long time to visit since I was in NYC on 9/11 and the visit was very memorable. Taking a tour is a big part of the visit and our guide Jennifer was wonderful. Very informative, professional and personable!
