Dave our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and it seem as long as it was, even met someone who was a surviver of 9/11, also worth getting the brochures

Daniel warned us that the tour could be very emotional and it was - especially the 9/11 Memorial. I liked hearing what he was doing and feeling on the day it happened.

We were disappointed. Our guide was delightful. But it’s not a tour focused on visiting and explaining the ground zero memorial. You can do just as well on your own with a little bit or advance reading. I recommend you save the $39 fee and visit the site on your own. First, it involves walking about a mile—for no valid purpose other than killing time. You meet a few blocks away at Saint Paul’s then walk about a block and a half to a city park. There the guide talks about NYC history and holds up a notebook showing pictures of the buildings that he talks about. While you stand in a semi-circle. Then you walk back to Saint Paul’s and go behind it to the church yard to see a bell and another lecturer. Afterwards its a walk down the block and over to stand for another lecture at the Occulis with held up displays of notebook pictures. Next a walk a couple more Blocks to ground zero—but no explanation Just yet. It’s across the street to Firehouse for Engine 10 and viewing the names on an outside wall of firefighters killed on 9/11. Then finally walk back across the streets to the ground zero memorial. At this point we left the tour as the guide headed for the more distant memorial pool. Having survived the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon and multiple visites to the Shanksville PA memorial I really needed to make this visit. I knew from the other memorials that you needed a docent to explain the symbolism or some advance reading. This tour didn’t do that and I was very disappointed. Again, nice guide, but
